11 days of Tour 

 Tours to Ethiopia's Amhara Region

First Day: Arrival day

We picked up you at Bole International Airport and Transferring to your hotel.   Spend the night at Addis Ababa. You may not have a visit on the first day since it's preferable to get used to the weather and you might be exhausted from the lengthy travel.

Day Two: City tour in Addis Ababa 

After breakfast, go on a city tour of Addis Abeba to see the Entoto Mountains, the biggest open-air market place in Africa (the Merkato market), and the Ethiopian National Museum. Overnight  Addis Ababa .

Day Three: fly to bahir dar

Travel by air to Bahir Dar. After transferring to your hotel, drive to the Blue Nile Falls. The journey to the waterfall takes approximately one hour. Upon arrival, enjoy a short hike around the area. 

during late afternoon, drive  back to bahirdar. Overnight Bahir dar

 

Day Four: boat trip in Tana lake

Following breakfast, you will take a boat ride on Lake Tana to see the hipopotamus in the lake, the outflow of the Blue Nile River from Lake Tana, and the monasteries of the Ethiopian Orthodox Churches, including Ura Kidanemihiret, Debre Mariam, and Kibran Gebreal.

Stay the night in Bahirdar.

 

Day Five: Drive to Gondar .

in the morning, after breakfast, we drive to Gonder. on the way to Gonder you will stop at Awuramba Community Village en route to Gondar, which is a good place to observe their own philosophy. And then drive to Guzara to visit the first palace built during the Gonderian era. Including the visit, it will require five to six hours. Spend the night in Gondar.

 

Day Six: historical tour in Gonder

After breakfast, visit the landmarks of Gondar, including the Royal Enclosure, which consists of six castles and numerous historic structures. You will also visit the Debre Berhan Selassie Church, home to Ethiopia’s most famous religious paintings, and Fasilides' Bath, which is still used for the Timket celebrations.

In the late afternoon, visit the Jewish Village of Weleka before returning to Gondar for a night.

 

Day Seven:  Trip to  Simien Mountains

After breakfast, drive to Simien Mountains National Park, one of Ethiopia’s most spectacular natural destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the dramatic highland landscapes, deep valleys, rugged cliffs, and panoramic mountain scenery that make the Simien Mountains truly unforgettable.

Upon arrival, you will experience a guided hike through the park, offering excellent opportunities to explore its unique natural beauty and diverse ecosystems. The park is home to several endemic wildlife species, including the famous Gelada and the rare Walia ibex, which can often be seen roaming freely across the cliffs and grasslands. Bird lovers will also enjoy spotting a variety of endemic and highland bird species throughout the area.

After a day of exploring the magnificent landscapes and wildlife of the Simien Mountains. Overnight in Simien Mountains.

Day Eight: Spotting Walia Ibex.

After breakfast in the morning, drive to Chennke via beautiful 500-meter-long Jinbahir waterfall and see the fascinating Capra Walia Ibex, an indigenous wild animal. During the afternoon, driving back to Gondar . Spend the night in Gondar.

 

Day Nine. fly to Lalibela.

Travel to Lalibela, one of Ethiopia’s most remarkable historical and spiritual destinations, famous for its extraordinary rock-hewn churches and rich religious heritage. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and take some time to relax before beginning your exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the afternoon, visit several of Lalibela’s world-famous rock-hewn churches, which were carved directly into solid volcanic rock during the 12th and 13th centuries. On the first day, you will explore six of the eleven historic churches, each featuring unique architectural designs, underground passageways, and fascinating religious history. These sacred churches remain active places of worship and continue to attract pilgrims from across Ethiopia and around the world.

As you walk through the ancient tunnels and courtyards, you will gain a deeper understanding of Ethiopia’s rich Orthodox Christian traditions and the incredible craftsmanship behind these masterpieces. After an unforgettable day of exploration, enjoy an overnight stay in Lalibela.

 

Day Ten: fly back to Addis Ababa 

After breakfast, continue your exploration of Lalibela by visiting the remaining five rock-hewn churches, completing your journey through one of Ethiopia’s most treasured UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These remarkable churches showcase extraordinary architectural beauty, ancient religious traditions, and centuries of spiritual significance. Your guide will provide further insight into the history, symbolism, and cultural importance of these sacred sites.

Following the morning visit, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping, relaxation, or enjoying the atmosphere of the capital city before your international departure.

Overnight Addis Ababa.

 

Day Eleven: Depart to your home from Addis Ababa 

​On this day, it depends your International flight time, we transfer you to Bole International Airport.

 

A detailed travel agreement will be sent after registration, and guests are kindly requested to read and sign the contract.
